Astatic

Professional truck drivers and communication hobbyists have been using Astatic branded products for 75 years. Astatic entered the CB radio market in the early 1940s and its world famous D-104 crystal element microphone quickly set the standard in microphone technology and sound quality. This microphone is currently displayed in the Smithsonian Institute and is still considered the standard for base station microphones. During World War II, Astatic was a major audio supplier to the US Armed Forces.
